The Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge // Update 10%

Would it be wrong of me to assume that everybody knows who the Gilmore girls are? Especially with that reboot they did earlier this year on Netflix. I'm guessing most people will know who I mean when I say Rory Gilmore no? She was like my idol when I was younger because she had so many books, and drank all the coffee, which kinda sums up my attempt at adult life so far. When I realised there was a Rory Gilmore reading challenge, I was so excited. I knew it would be a fun exploration of books, and I was actually pretty curious how many of them I had read prior to the challenge, which was very few FYI.

Life Update

It's been such a long time since I've blogged, year three of University finally caught up with me and I was so bogged down with everything I was barely sleeping let alone having time to write blog posts. But now that uni is over and done with forever (YAY), I've decided to start back up blogging mainly as a hobby so that I have something to do with my time.

Sophie Talks Travel // Post 1: How to get started on your travels

This is the serious part. Now you've decided you want to go exploring, you've gotta figure out how to do it. This will be different for everyone as it varies based on the trip type and how organised you are as a person. (Note: I am not very organised at all.) This is also the bets part as you can really let your imagination go and the world is your oyster!

The Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge!

If any of you have seen previous blog posts, you might know that I was super OBSESSED with Gilmore Girls (until Netflix took it away from me sob sob). It's hard to explain exactly what it is I like about the show, maybe the fact they drink so much coffee which makes me feel like the amount I drink is totally okay, or because the sass levels are like so real and its brilliant, OR because Rory is constantly reading new books and I love that.

Casually browsing the interweb one day, I saw a post with the same title as mine and I thought, 'Could this really be?! Why didn't I think of this!' Anyway so I've got the list and I am slowly working through it, some I had already read anyway, a lot I actually own so now that uni is over for the summer I'm hoping I can work through a load of them. I have written down the ones that I've started purely for myself so I remember that I need to take time out to finish them, but generally if I've started something and not finished it then it isn't my cup of tea. The exception being Anna Karenina, I think that one is purely due to the size of the book and that I haven't had time to dedicate to it.

Sunday Post // 9: 2015 Favourites

As the title would suggest, this is just a little overview of things that I loved last year from beauty to music and tv shows. I figured it would be a good idea as I haven't done a monthly favourites in so long that I know there are things I have been obsessed over and haven't spoke about. Which I find totally unacceptable on my part. Hope you enjoy looking over some of my favourite things from 2015!
